Sarah Assbring & Jacob Haage

Sarah Assbring and Jacob Haage are composers and musicians having worked closely together since 2012 when Jacob became an important collaborative part of Sarah’s solo-project El Perro del Mar.

El Perro del Mar having been a shape-shifting yet consistent musical force dating back to 2005 with a discography that has earned significant international recognition. The versatile pair share a lasting passion for breaking new grounds in music and over the past decade they have ventured into composing for film, stage productions and commercial commissions.

Assbring and Haage’s sound is characterized by a minimalist yet utterly visceral expression, through experimental desire uniting what is timelessly human with modern time.

Recent commissioned project highlights include the score for Selma Vilhunen’s “Four Little Adults,” which premiered at the 2023 Gothenburg Film Festival and International Film Festival Rotterdam, as well as Hlin Hjálmarsdóttir’s dance piece “RIPTIDE,” which premiered at The Royal Swedish Opera early 2023. Additionally, they recorded and produced “I Got You Babe” for a worldwide commercial for AXA in 2024.
